You are invited to take part in a research study exploring whether taking a nutritional supplement can support healthy weight management in adults. The study is fully remote and all participation is done using the Ingredients for Life™ mobile app.
The study is evaluating the nutritional supplement elénzia CONTROL® compared with a placebo (a lookalike capsule with inactive ingredients).
Adults aged 25–65 who are managing their weight, including those who:
• Have never used GLP-1 medications* OR
• Have recently stopped using GLP-1 medications, eg. Semaglutide (Ozempic®/Wegovy®) or Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®)
* GLP-1 medications are used for weight management or diabetes control.
Participation is simple, voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. There are no clinic visits required as all information is collected via our Ingredients for Life™ app. All study materials, including capsules and tape measures are provided free of charge. Participants must also have access to a personal home weight scale to record their weight during the study. Please note that all personal data is handled securely, in line with UK GDPR.
1 - Register and we’ll shared details of how to download the app and complete the eligibility questionnaire
2 - Take daily capsules (supplement or placebo) for 16 weeks
3 - Regularly record weight and waist measurements and record in the app.
This study is exploring whether the nutritional supplement elénzia CONTROL® can support adults in managing their weight, including helping maintain weight after stopping GLP-1 medications.
Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the active supplement or a placebo (a lookalike capsule without active ingredients). Neither you nor the study team assessing outcomes will know your group until the study is complete.
Participation is for 16 weeks. You’ll take the study capsules daily and complete app-based questionnaires bi-weekly throughout the study.
No. This study is fully remote. All study materials, including capsules and tape measures will be delivered to your home. Participants must have access to their own home weight scale, as this will be used to record weight measurements during the study and will not be provided.
IFL Terms and ConditionsYes. The supplement is a nutritional product and contains ingredients that are generally well tolerated when taken at the recommended dose. You’ll be able to contact the study team at any time for guidance. Any side effects can be reported through the app, email, or phone.
Absolutely. Participation is entirely voluntary. You can stop at any time without giving a reason, and your data collected up to that point can be removed if you request.
Yes. All data is collected securely through the Ingredients for Life™ app, in line with UK GDPR. Only authorised study staff and regulatory bodies can access your data.
Participants may be eligible for engagement-based incentives, such as M&S vouchers and entry into prize draws for completing questionnaires and logging supplement intake. Participation in these incentives is voluntary, and you can still take part in the study without claiming them.
